Kristel Holveck
Certified Veterinary Technician
From a young age, Kristel knew she was meant to work with animals. By the time she was nine, she had already decided on a future in veterinary medicine. Her passion only grew stronger through high school, where she gained valuable experience as an animal health supervisor for a large farm store and as a kennel assistant at a rural animal clinic.
In 1996, Kristel began her studies in pre-veterinary medicine at Eastern Oregon State College, with a focus on animal science and nutrition. She officially entered the field in 1999 as a receptionist at a mixed animal practice, and just a few years later, she found her true calling as a veterinary technician. In 2004, she earned her CVT (Certified Veterinary Technician) license and has been dedicated to animal care and clinic management ever since.
Kristel’s professional interests include animal nutrition, surgery, and anesthesia. She’s also passionate about giving back to the community through her ongoing work with the local animal shelter.
Outside the clinic, Kristel leads an active life. She supports her two teenage sons in their water polo journeys, competes in triathlons, practices kickboxing, enjoys horseback riding, and spends quality time on the family farm with her husband of 26 years.
