Dr. Sonja Zabel was born and raised in Germany. She discovered her passion for veterinary dermatology while attending the School of Veterinary Medicine in Hannover. After graduating in 1998, her drive for excellence and love of traveling took her to Colorado State University, where she completed a residency in veterinary dermatology and a master’s degree.
From a young age, Kristel knew she was meant to work with animals. By the time she was nine, she had already decided on a future in veterinary medicine.
Cats have unique needs, which is why we’ve created a cat-friendly exam room just for them. It’s quiet, pheromone-infused, and thoughtfully designed with cozy hiding spots and a comforting examination bucket—all to help reduce stress and make them feel safe.
These small touches lead to better, more compassionate care—because comfort matters.
Arrive a little early and let your furry companion settle in. Share a moment of calm with some soothing music—or DJ their favorite playlist for the full VIP treatment.
Ask us how you can help your cat feel more relaxed—even before you arrive.
We’re ready. Because cats deserve nothing less.
